Two gay men set out on a train journey after losing a common friend to a homophobic attack when life slowly catches up with them.
This short film starring known Swiss actor Carlos Leal and Peter Fischli is the third part of a small trilogy depicting quirky Swiss pecularities. They stand on its own and work as a trilogy. It started in 2019 with the satire „Pünt“ („Garden Plot“) about threats against a community of allotment gardeners followed by „Maiensäss“ („Alpine Getaway“) in 2020, a black-and-white comedy about the overbooking of an Airbnb in the mountains. „Paxmal“ is set to premiere in early summer 2021 and will start its festival run afterwards.
